I would like to download non copyrighted videos and convert them to MP3. Is there a recommended tool I can use to do this? A lot of the tools online are very spammy with ads. Their "progams" are junk. What a waste. Not worth recommending. Excellent free software (YouTube to MP3 Converter) that works perfectly in Linux Mint 13. I recently downloaded the app mediahuman Youtube to Mp3, because someone told me they could download 320kbps files from youtube and I couldn't believe it, because youtube's streaming audio output bitrate is 128. The app can also download from soundcloud and bandcamp. I downloaded from all 3 websites.
MediaHuman works great for me, but is unfortunately not Open Source (so you have to see for your self if you want to trust this program). Youtube Downloader is open source, but for downloading mp4's . Both work excellent.
