My first car was a GTI. It was a 95 VR6 (in 98). Fun, practical, couldnā€™t get into a ton of trouble. I did screw a lot of stuff up on it just not knowing a lot about cars and learning. I would have been better off getting a $8k Golf, screwing a bunch of stuff up on that car and then getting a GTI in a year or two. 5.
